Teaser

“I’m sorry,” I whispered. “I didn’t mean love.”
Footsteps approached, making my heart thud against my ribs as I braced for the strike that never came.
“Ana.” Sam stood within arms’ reach but didn’t touch me. “Do you really feel that way? That you aren’t allowed certain emotions?”
I couldn’t look at him.
“You’re not a nosoul. You’re allowed to feel however you feel.”
