Beyond 50 Shades … Way Beyond!
EUROPEAN EXPERIENCE is an intimate exploration of kinks and fetishes by an unlikely couple, with thoughtful and philosophical discussion by the characters, and graphic descriptions of their erotic adventures.
Sam takes Kelly on her first trip to Europe, sharing some special places that are not on the typical tourist route. Sam’s Dutch friend surprises them with a ‘coming out’ party, and Kelly is introduced to a world of sexuality that she had not imagined. The trip is a whirlwind of touring, clubs and cultural experiences that expose Kelly to new perspectives, and a session with a dominatrix brings more surprises. Sam and Kelly reach a new level of shared experiences and love for each other.
The Experiences series is an epic love story of erotic relationships and sexual desires. Written in a ‘literary realism’ style, the series introduces Sam in the prequel, and the blossoming of his intimate relationship with Kelly as the series progresses. Fantasies and real-world adventures coalesce to mold a unique bond between unlikely lovers. Where needs are mutually satisfied in an open, creative and trusting environment. Where physical and mental boundaries are pushed. Where the concepts of love and sex are never confused, but sometimes confusing. Where openness is required and intimacy is expected. And where fair-is-fair, regarding the punishment of transgressions.
Contemporary erotic romance: Suitable for mature readers, aged 18+ years.
Experiences: Book 5 is 132,000 words, 19 chapters, 450 (approx) print pagesWARNING!

I’ve read several books in the Experiences series now, and I’ve got to say, European Experience is my favorite so far. At the start of the series, Kelly and Sam were two characters who seemed an almost impossible distance away from each other, with Kelly being decades younger than Sam. Now, at the start of this book, the two are so close, so intimate, the reader almost starts to feel jealous. The connection between the two of them is not just physical, it’s spiritual, mental, a higher state of connecting than most people usually experience in their life.
At the start of the book, Kelly meets up with her girlfriends, who she shared a special experience with on her twenty-fifth birthday, which she won’t forget soon. If you want to know more about that, I recommend reading Birthday Experience, the previous book. Either way, some issues are resolved – as in, will things be awkward now between them after what happened? Luckily, the answer is no, so Kelly can be rest assured before she leaves on a trip through Europe with Sam.
One of the most interesting experiences in the book happens when the two of them go to the Netherlands. First of all, I loved this part because it focuses on some specific Dutch words and foods (like “frikandellen”), which we say in Belgium too. It was great to see something like that in an English book. Even though some writers write about traveling, and even include Belgium or the Netherlands during their characters’ travels, few mention the Dutch language and customs. But Simone Freier is an excellent author, detailed and thorough, and the way she described those scenes, I could picture myself right there with Sam and Kelly.
Of course, apart from the ordinary scenes where they’re eating local food and diving into local customs, there are several hot and sexy scenes during the book as well. Going on a trip and visiting some of Sam’s friends means Kelly has to broaden her horizon even more, and get different perspectives on things. I also liked Henk and Zöe, two of Sam’s friends. They formed an intriguing pair, and had an unique and interesting relationship and a lot of respect for each other. In several ways, they reminded me of Sam and Kelly, but they were different at the same itme as well.
European Experience is my favorite installment in this series. It’s now clear that Sam and Kelly have a special emotional bond, and yet at the same time, on a sexual level, they connect well too. I can’t wait to see what happens next for these two.
