In Stormy Waters, Adam Bernstein wakes up on the beach at the dead of night. Next to a dead body. As if that’s not horrible enough, he has no memory of what happened or how he even got there – or if he had anything to do with the dead body or not. Having no memory of who he is, he flees the scenes, determined to find out his identitity, and what happened to him.
The more he searches, the more he finds out his former life seems to have had it all: money, a gorgeous girlfriend, success. He tries to gain back his old life, but when someone attempts to murder him, he realizes he’s in more danger than he thought. His survival depends on him piecing together his past.
While Adam’s story is intriguing, he’s not the only important character in the book. Important too is Victor, an ex-criminal who wants to start a new life away from crime but finds it hard to do so – especially when his old boss has a final task for him.
Stormy Waters features an impressive cast of characters. Especially Adam, suffering from amnesia, is an intriguing and complex protagonist. The plot is fast-paced and full of twists that will keep readers on the edge of their seats.
