Legacy is an intriguing, well-written, compelling romance novel by author Hannah Fielding. The book introduces us to Luna Ward, a beautiful ice-blonde half-American half-Spanish girl. When she’s commissioned by a leading New York science journal to investigate the head of a Spanish alternative health clinic, she jumps at the chance. But she never expected she would fall for him. He’s a brilliant, outspoken man, with irresistible looks and a devilish sense of humor. Luna feels drawn to him, but can she give in to the passion she feels, especially when she can’t really be honest toward him?
I didn’t read the previous books in the series, but I had no trouble following along for this story. It’s a very passionate, romantic story set in a picturesque small town in Southern Spain, which immediately gives it a holiday feel. A large part of the book is the gypsy community, and I enjoyed reading more about gypsies, their culture and lifestyle.
Luna was an interesting character, and I could easily connect with her. Ruy was amazing too, dark, handsome and mysterious. The chemistry between them is undeniable, and they’re both very passionate and romantic.
An ideal romance novel for during a holiday abroad (if you’re going to Spain, and enjoy romances, I can’t think of any book I could recommend more than this one) with a solid cast of characters and an excellent setting.
This sounds wonderful and a new author for me. I love reading stories like this while lounging by the pool and it’s warming up, the sun is shining, and I almost have the pool ready for swimming!
