What I’m Watching

I’m watching Lockwood & Co. Absolutely loving it so far! I read the books a few years ago and devoured them from start to finish, so I was thrilled about the TV series but I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Netflix often is a hit or miss, but for me, so far, this is a definite hit!

What I’m Crafting

Before my baby, Seraphyn (who is now four months old….time flies!) was born, I had bought a kit to craft a nightlight featuring the Disney Princess Cinderella with string art as decoration. The kit is supposedly for kids but either I’m a complete idiot, but this was a lot tougher than it seemed to be. The instructions were also really unclear. Quite frankly, I don’t recommend it for kids at all. Even for adults, it’s a struggle.

Luckily, I didn’t pay that much for it – like 1 EUR or something. But online, you can purchase it as well and it’s a lot more expensive, about 15 EUR. I definitely don’t recommend doing that. The material is cheap, you don’t even get a nice frame for around it, and it just isn’t worth that price. I’m not even sure I’ll display it in Seraphyn’s room (like I initially intended when buying it) although for the amoutn of work I’ve had trying to piece it together, I might as well…

You can read a more detailed post about this kit on my author blog.

What I’m Writing

This week I didn’t write anything because I’ve been too focused on my new release. Yaaaaaay!

The updated, much longer (600 plus pages in paperback…yikes) version of See All Evil is now available on Amazon!

Title: See All Evil (Academy for the Wicked #1)

Genre: New Adult, Reverse Harem, Paranormal Romance

Purchase: Amazon

On my eighteenth birthday, my demon-possessed mother told me I was invited to join the Academy for the Wicked.

Hours later, the diner I worked at was overrun by creatures that shouldn’t exist. Alec, a warlock, who appeared out of thin air and made a glass levitate – which is probably the least of his powers. A demon named Christian, the culprit behind my mother’s zombie-like episode this morning. Damian, a vampire who promptly killed my manager; Tristan, a fearsome necromancer; and the most mysterious one of them all, a mesmer called Ronan.

All of them swore they would protect me from the nightmare that has haunted me for years: the red room, the throne of blood, the Queen of Maggots, especially now the Queen of Maggots is no longer confined to the world of dreams…

With five gorgeous guys eager to protect me, I should feel safe, but the Academy is a deadly trap. The teachers and students are all keeping secrets, and I’m not sure if I belong here.

To survive my first semester at the Academy of the Wicked, I will need to figure out who and what I truly am, and why the Queen of Maggots wants me dead…

What I’m Playing

No board games this week, but I’m playing the Sims 4 again, thanks to this nifty new expansion (well, new… it’s been out for a few months, but thanks to the birth of my sweet baby girl, Seraphyn, I didn’t really have time to play videogames anymore).

This expansion is perfect for the Sims 4 story I started writing last year (and then put on a hiatus after episode 18… but I’m working on reviving it): Josie, The Vampire Slayer. Since a lot of scenes from this story take place in high school, during school hours, I had to use Mods and what-not to take suitable pictures, but with this new expansion, I don’t need to do all that anymore, which makes it soooo much easier.

What have you been up to this week?

  1. I really need to find a new show.
