Living The Thin Life
Title: Living The Thin Life
Author: Elle Meyer
Genre: Diet/Weight Maintenance
Living the Thin Life – Creative Ways to Maintain Your Weight for Life was written to help successful dieters maintain their ideal weight. Each person is different, so everyone needs to develop his or her own personalized plan for fitness and weight maintenance. This book explains how to build that personal plan to take into account each individual’s unique eating personality. Tips for staying motivated, shaving off calories, and working exercise into an everyday routine are provided in a light-hearted manner. As an added bonus, over 50 healthy, low calorie recipes are included.
The author, Elle Meyer, successfully lost weight ten years ago and came up with her own methods for keeping the weight off. She decided to write a book to tell her story and share strategies that really work. She interviewed many people who have lost and maintained weight and included their best ideas and suggestions. These tips are from real people, for real people.
In addition to including common sense, effective diet techniques, Elle also describes some habits of her husband “Elvis” (name changed to protect his reputation). These habits provide examples of what not to do when trying to maintain a healthy weight.
Author Bio
Meyer is a member of the baby boomer generation who lost weight more than ten years ago and has kept it off ever since. Her book, Living the Thin Life, tells her personal story of learning how to stay fit and helps others develop their own unique plans for weight management. It includes lots of real life tips on eating, exercise, and motivation. These ideas came from her own experience as well as from the many people she interviewed who have successfully lost and maintained their weight.
Elle has made a hobby out of collecting recipes from a variety of sources and then adapting them for lower calorie, carb, and fat content. She has a very picky husband (referred to only as “Elvis” to protect his identity) so the recipes have to be tasty, too. Living the Thin Life includes over 50 of these healthy, delicious recipes.
Elle comes from a large family. She has 8 brothers and sisters and too many cousins, nieces, and nephews to count. Her father was an engineer and a published author of several genealogy books. She dedicated Living the Thin Life to him, as he was her role model and inspiration. Her husband “Elvis” also provided inspiration with humorous examples of what not to do if you’re trying to lose or maintain weight.
