It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by BookDate. It’s where book bloggers gather to talk about what books they read and reviewed last week, what books they’re currently reading and what books they’re planning to read. This is a great way for me to plan my reading week, and to take a sneak peek at what others are reading.
Finished Reading
- Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard
- The Boston Strangler by Gerold Frank
- The Children of Swan by Coral Walker
- Haunted Bridges by Rich Newman
- Nessie by Nick Redfern
- The Night Parade by Ronald Malfi
Currently Reading
- The Cabin by Natasha Preston
- Pay The Ghost by Tim Lebbon
- The Black Dahlia Avenger: A Genius for Murder by Steve Hodel
As you can see, I’m reading some dark, suspenseful books this week, and read a few similar ones last week. Guess I’m just in a dark mood! I don’t usually enjoy “light summer reading” – I prefer dark books in summer, light books in winter, haha. Anyway, I’m also very fond of true crime as of late, so if you have any recommendations, let me know.
What are you reading this week?
Hi and thanks for stopping by my blog earlier. 🙂
What did you think of Glass Sword? I was disappointed with it as a follow up to Red Queen but I’m still willing to read the next one. I hope Aveyard redeems the series for me!
Your books all look very intriguing. I like this type of book, but usually read them around Halloween time in October, but I think they’re good any time of the year. Have a great week!
Nice assortment of books. I’m mixing upcoming review books and books from my TBR mountain this summer. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
Nessie! lol I’ve always had a thing for the Loch Ness monster, so I’ll be checking that one out. And The Night Parade and The Children of Swan both look good too.
I sometimes like to read books opposite the seasons too — cheerful books in winter and gloomy books in cold settings in summer. Though I do admit that I love the atmosphere of curling up with darker book on a dreary fall day more than anything!
I have been on a dark reading kick for the last few months. The Cabin looks pretty good, too.
The true crime looks good. Thanks for sharing.
