What if you could always get people to do things your way?

You Deserve Better will teach you specific strategies and tactics designed to improve your negotiation and persuasion skills. Contrary to popular belief, intuition and life experience are not enough. Academic studies have shown that concrete knowledge from behavioral and social science can be brought to bear as you learn how to persuade and negotiate better.

Sounds great! But can anybody learn these methods?

Written in a fluent and accessible style, this book addresses the general public and aims to help everyone. It is rich in instructive negotiation scenarios, with which anybody can identify: employees with their employers and colleagues; parents with young children about hours of television permitted and with teenagers about curfews; partners about sharing housework and raising children; businessmen with customers, investors, suppliers and partners; politicians with friends and foes alike.

You Deserve Better is packed with “take-away” power!

As editor, Tami Chapnick, remarked after completing the editing process, “I find myself using at least one of the tools that I learned from this book every week.” The insights and useful strategies that it demonstrates will remain with you long after you have finished reading.

As a lawyer, I’m often confronted with discussions and negotiations, and it’s a real skill to be able to determine when you have to apply which skillset in order to obtain something. Sometimes you have to be indulging, sometimes you have to be strict and firm. Reading the situation is one of the most important starting points for good negotiations.

You Deserve Better: Success in Real-Life Negotiations starts by teaching readers specific skills to improve their negotiation skills; describing several scenarios to give the book a real-life feel. As the book says, intuition and experience aren’t always enough, studies of human behavior can also help you in interpreting certain situations and determining how you can persuade others to follow you in this particular situation.

An interesting book that anyone who often deals with negotiations (and basically, anyone, as we all deal with negotiation-situations sometimes) should read.

Just for kicks, have you ever wondered what your parents really want from you in life? Is it you, or do your parents want you to have no real fun? On any given day, do you want to make your parents proud of you and still do what makes you feel really happy within yourself? Of course you do! But the real question has always been, and still is…how? How can we actually get this done?

Well, with A-C-T like a Kid and T-H-I-N-K like a Parent, a.k.a “the child-part consoler”, you will get past common misunderstandings by learning how to truly talk, hear, and listen to your parents, guardians or caregivers instead of feeling like you have to run to friends to find some sense of acceptance, understanding, and real connection.

In this book, chock-full of questions and answers gotten directly from the source, you’ll learn what your parents, guardians or caregivers really expect of you—and maybe you’ll even find out how to explain to them what you really expect from them! Not that this book could ever replace a parent, because it can not. But when it comes to openly communicating certain key ideas, this book comes really close.

This tell-all guide contains lots of enlightening explanations and helpful answers to many common kid questions like:

  • What do my parents really want from me?
  • Why do my parents do what they do and say what they say?
  • What do I really need to know about my parents’ parenting skills?
  • How can I keep my parents happy with me?
  • How can I help my parents to help me?
  • How can I get what I want from my parents every time?

A-C-T like a Kid and T-H-I-N-K like a Parent is an intro to the secret knowledge of adults which is a set of informations that is mainly covered in the book entitled Surrogate Re-Parenting: A.K.A. Get Your Mind Right, and even more thoroughly covered in the book The Secret Knowledge Of Adults. While this book, A-C-T like a Kid and T-H-I-N-K like a Parent is intended for kids 10 and up, the info in this book is beneficial and useful to the intelligent kid parts in all of us. Yes, this means you too.

The information in this book will help you and yours to start to see your parents, not as the enemy, but as the caring human beings they really are, and take the first step toward family unity, understanding, growth, success, and happiness! Both you and your parents really deserve this, and with this book, A-C-T like a Kid and T-H-I-N-K like a Parent, you and your parents can actually achieve this.

A-C-T Like a Kid and T-H-I-N-K Like a Parent is a nonfiction / self-help book aimed at, surprisingly, kids. The book talks about why parents do certain things, and help kids understand their parents behavior. In that viewpoint, it’s quite unique. I’ve read several books for parents on how to understand their kids, and I’m sure it’s a common enough subject in nonfiction books, but to have it the other way around? That was new to me.

The book gives key insights to kids in ways that are easy to understand for how they can talk to their parents, and actually hear what their parents have to say, to understand why sometimes parents say “no”, even though in the kids’ viewpoint, that “no” may seem very unjust.

I enjoyed reading the book, and I’m sure it will be really helpful for kids. However, it’s quite long and sometimes quite complicated, so it’s not for very young kids. The kids have to be a little older before they’ll understand the content of the book.

Book Review: Listen to Your Soul and Heal Your Body of Chronic Disease

Title: Listen to Your Soul and Heal Your Body of Chronic Disease

Do you have the courage to discover the true reason that you are ill?

Do you want to recover from your diseases and end the pain once and for all? Do you want to get rid of all those pills? If you answered “yes” to these questions, then this book is absolutely mandatory for you. In simple and flowing language, the author will tell you what you must do in order to embark on a voyage of self-healing, about the connection between body and soul, and how disease is actually a message from the soul.

Acquire practical tools and inspiration to truly heal yourself!

You will discover the four channels that lead to true and holistic healing and how they are linked to the divine concert that frames our lives. Using the eight practical keys to self-healing, your renewed hope, and the story of the author’s own journey of recovery from seven different supposedly incurable illnesses, you will be inspired to change your life forever.

So, I’ll start by saying that it’s tough for me to imagine what people who are in chronic pain, who take medicine on a daily basis are going through because (thankfully) I haven’t experienced anything of the sort. What I did experience once, for many years, was an addicted to nasal sprays. I used an entire bottle about every two weeks. Now, I’ve recovered thanks to going to the doctor’s, using medication for about a month, and a lot of willpower too.

However, this is quite similar to what Meirav Harel describes here, in Listen to Your Soul and Heal Your Body of Chronic Disease, although this book focuses on chronic pain and pill addiction instead. The book focuses on self-healing, about the connection between body and soul, and how diseases can be a message from the soul. As you can guess, the book is all about holistic healing, but it’s actually quite interesting. I do believe some diseases are outings of our soul, our soul screaming for help or attention, but I don’t believe all illnesses are, or can be healed this way.

I’m still quite skeptic after reading, but I wouldn’t mind using some of these techniques on simple diseases like a common cold, or the flu, or something like that.

What happens when a man suddenly realizes that a scared mouse lives in his subconscious?

A magical story about a human who embarks on an evolutionary journey to become a lion

Gili Weintraub discovers to his astonishment that his subconscious is filled with animals that interfere with his efforts to pursue success in his life: a mouse who is afraid to take risks, a dog who is quick to obey any orders he receives, a snail who takes his time even when it is necessary to hurry, and a monkey who is sure he looks, well … just like a monkey!

Instead of becoming depressed, he embarks on a journey to upgrade those animals into new ones that will allow him to live a much more powerful and enabling life.

This book is going to make you roar!

It will inspire you, take you by the hand, and teach you some simple tools that anyone can use to grow and become a strong lion or lioness.

Original, funny, full of charming illustrations

The book is filled with more than 150 illustrations that provide a unique reading experience and enable us to grow with great pleasure.

A wonderful gift to ourselves and to the people we love.

My Evolution is a cute read about how to make your life better, about how to pursue success in life, and how to transform from a mouse afraid of taking risks into a mightly lion, who isn’t afraid of anyone. We all have fears, and the book deals well with describing those fears and getting to the root of them.

The book has helped me figure out why I think certain ways, and why I’m afraid of certain things. It has a lot of tips and tricks, some of them that suited me, some that didn’t, but they all seemed quite helpful. The comparisons to animals is very clever and works well. The humor also rings true and adds another layer to the book. If you’re looking to fulfill your dreams and become successful but something is holding you back, I recommend this book.

Journey on a delicate frequency of love and harmony to Telos, city of light
The journey to Telos requires absolute faith and a true bond with the Sacred Heart. Only a delicate frequency of love and harmony will sustain peace in the Middle East. Our connection to each other and the common cause unified forces for the creation of Telos, the city of light. Over the years we have developed a full network of life below the surface of the earth, based on light, love, and vibrations of energy from the Supreme Creator.
Discover enlightening and true awakening beneath the earth’s surface!
We invite you on a journey of awakening, departure, and action. Hear about enlightenment in the Middle East and why we must enliven the light entities who are now awakening to the Lemurian energy of love that exists worldwide. I, Adama, High Priest of the light people in Telos, believe it is critically important to raise the vibrations across the globe. Area inhabitants, arise and realize that there is only one way to ascend. True awakening is through the heart!

In Telos – From Theory to Practice: A Voyage on the Way to Ascension, the reader learns about a journey of awakening, of departure and actoin through Adama, High Priest of the light people in Telos. The goal is peace in the Middle East, maybe even across the globe, which will be accomplished through people’s connections with one another. A network has been established below the surface of the earth based on light, love and energy vibrations, and this will awaken a worldwide energy bringing love and peace and awakening to all.

I’m not much of a believer. I’m interested in religions and belief systems, but I’m not particularly convinced of anything, not even the existence of a positive, worldwide energy–although I sure realize we could use some of that. I usually don’t mind spirituality books, but this book was a little too far-stretched for me to truly enjoy. While the message in its core was pure, when I hear terms like “high priest” and so on, I often cringe, because I don’t believe that, in terms of religion and spirituality in particular, one person could stand higher than another.

The values the book promotes are worthy of being promoted, though, so I’m giving points for that. The writing isn’t bad either. It just wasn’t for me, and I cringed more often than I would’ve wanted to.
